My Story

When I was a child, my family couldn’t afford many toys.

But my father would sometimes carve small wooden animals for me, and my grandfather would make larger wooden toys whenever I visited him in the countryside.

My favorite was a fish-shaped wooden sword.

To anyone else it was just a toy, but to me it felt like the greatest treasure.

Years later my grandfather developed dementia and slowly stopped recognizing me.

Not long after, he passed away.

Those wooden toys are gone now, but the memories stayed with me.

So I began carving wooden creatures myself — hoping to preserve the simple joy of childhood, the love of family, and the moments that truly matter.

My hope is that one day you might give one to someone you love,so the memories we create today will remain long after we are gone.

That was the beginning of MARINER POET

Today I think of these works as Mechanical Creatures — wooden beings brought to life through motion and simple mechanisms.

Some come from nature.Others from myth and imagination.

Each one moves slowly and gracefully, like a living sculpture.

MARINER POET is a world where wood, mechanics, and imagination come together.

And this is only the beginning.
